Dr. Mohammad Karam Pour, the minister deputy and the chairman for Radio Communications and Rules Regulatory Organization said to reporter of ICT ministry’s Public Relation that: after checking the delivered requests for allocating service codes, 34 of requests were accepted and the related service code numbers were allocated to the accepted applicants.
He added that from the total 54 requests, 15 of them are in checking level and 5 were ignored because the lack of documents.
He referred to the code ratified by CRA organization for granting service codes and asserted that: all legal persons whom the service code numbers granted to them before this time and also the new applicants are obliged to get the necessary license from CRA Organization for using these codes.
The Head of Radio Communications and Rules Regulatory Organization asserted that based on this ratified code, some of service code numbers like Police (110), Presidency (111), information unit department of Iran ministry of Intelligence and National Security (113), Emergency (115), Electricity Organization (121), Water Organization (122), Anti-Child Abuse (123) and Fire Distinguishing Organization (125) are the predefined emergency telephone code numbers that remained unchanged in the first phase. Also according to the agreement of Rules Regulatory Commission, using the three-digit number 124 for calling information section in the Ministry of Commerce is extended up to the end of the year 90 in order to help implementation of Subsidies purposeful making.
The ICT minister’s deputy with pointing to the amendments done in service code said that in the previous month and with considering CRA Organization legal responsibilities and duties for granting service code numbers, some of the code articles were changed and based on this the circumstances for granting eased and necessary documents for new applicants got better and inter-cities service codes capacity were increased.
He emphasized that the service codes given to the applicants are divided in to 2 groups: the group in which numbers start with “1” and subdivided to 2 types: 3-digit and 4-digit numbers and the other group which start with “096”.
the 3-digit numbers are used in emergency cases which is crucial and vital and the 4-digit number use in trading, economical and service cases, he asserted. Dr. Karam pour continued: the numbers which begin with “1” are related to provinces which are separately tracked in each province and for interprovincial tracking, the persons who have these numbers should sign contract and pay the essential defined costs to the relevant operators.
