PR of the Ministry of ICT – ICT management workgroup at the first meeting has approved forming the mentioned committee in order to develop rules and regulations in cyberspace as one of seven key priorities for ICT development in the country.
Therefore, the first session of the commission has been held in the Ministry of Justice and chaired by Abdolali Mirkoohi, deputy of legal and parliamentary affairs in that ministry.
On the other hand, the representative of IT organization will be as the committee's secretary and also the secretariat would be settled at the organization based on the Act of ICT management work group.
According to the report, the members of the committee are including: representatives of Judiciary, vice president for legal affairs, ministry of ICT, ministry of culture and Islamic guidance as well as the parliament's research center.
According to the Act of ICT management workgroup, the other members of the specialized committee include the representatives of police, institute of standards and industrial research, CRA, the high council of informatics and also high council for IT.
According to the report, providing the proper legal and judicial infrastructure for ICT development and reviewing the blanks of rules and regulations in this area are considered as the tasks of this committee.
Other responsibilities of this committee are including: studying the necessity of revision and reforming the rules and regulations of the virtual technology, providing the proposal for reforming the current rules as well as developing the legislation and regulations agreed with ICT development needs.
