According to the Public Relation department of the ICT Ministry, Dr. Vaezi referred to the imminent trip of President Rouhani to Baku, stating that: “The relations of the two countries are currently enjoying a great stability and fruitfulness, and nothing can harm this close and friendly relation.”
Vaezi underscored the importance of keeping alert against negative propaganda on behalf of the officials of both countries, expressing that: “Many internal factors and foreign enemies and the spiteful elements in both nations are trying to harm and challenge bilateral relations of the two countries through negative propaganda and obscure rumor-mongering; therefore, officials of both parties must be vigilant and well-informed regarding those agendas and objectives, and try to stop this kind of plotting by always stating the facts.”
In this discussion, both parties expressed their readiness and emphasized once again on accelerating the implementation of the previous agreements made in the last session of the joint commission in Tehran, and mentioned the necessity to speed up the execution of certain topics such as construction and completion of the Qazvin-Rasht-Tehran railway, joint cooperation in oil fields of the Caspian Sea, and cooperation in transport and banking services.
Additionally, the parties stressed on the fact that the pathway to further develop and expand bilateral relations and cooperation will not meet any challenges and limitations in the government of ‘Wisdom and Hope’, because of the positive approach and interaction of state officials and governments toward each other, and also because of the existing friendship and common interests and backgrounds of Iranian and Azerbaijani nations.
Both ministers agreed to cooperate on the preparations and arrangement for the imminent visit of Dr. Rouhani to the Azerbaijan Republic.
