The first round of these talks was held last Tuesday in the HQ of the Russian Space Agency in Moscow, attended by both Directors, their deputies, representatives from Iranian President’s Technology and Innovation Cooperation Office and representative of the Iranian Embassy in Moscow.
In consideration of the special emphasis made by the Presidents of both countries on the development of bilateral strategic relations, the negotiations proceeded in a positive and constructive environment.
According to the agenda of Iran’s space program, based on utilizing peaceful space technologies in the development program of the country, and following the previous negotiations and agreements made by both organization in Tehran and Moscow; the Iranian Space Agency presented the following administrative programs for the continuation of bilateral cooperation:
· Software and Hardware upgrade of Alborz (Mahdasht) Satellite Data Reception and Processing Station
· Provision of the complete system of monitoring satellite for covering developmental and technological requirements, consisting of satellites, control stations and image reception.
· Launching of student project satellites
· Space industry
The parties stressed on continuing their cooperation; and the deputy directors were tasked to follow-up on the related planning, by continuing their interaction and by holding necessary technical meetings by experts, for realization of the mutual objectives.
