Afghan Telecom’ Minister meets Iranian Private Sector Managers

Afghan Telecommunication and Information Technology Minister and his accompanying delegation met today with Iranian private sector ICT leaders and managers.

 Based on ICT Ministry’s PR report, during this meeting which private ICT sector companies presented their capabilities and range of services both in Iran and abroad, Abdul Razaq Vahidi, the Afghan Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology underscored this meeting as an important opportunity for discussing and negotiating with major players of the Iranian technology and telecommunication market, stating that: “We would like to learn from the experiences of our Iranian friends.”

In this meeting, Mehdi Mohtashami, Deputy Minister of ICT in International Affairs, also referred to the capabilities and potentials of the Iranian private sector and said: “Iranian experts and specialists are fully active in our key ICT sectors, eager to provide for the domestic needs of our country.”

He included that: “Our outlook toward Afghanistan is not a simple consumer market approach, but rather a relationship between two countries where we share our achievements with our Afghan bothers.”
