The Public Relation and Information Center of ICT reports that, the Secretariat of the High Council of IT has endeavored to hold numerous sessions revolving the field of e-Health which, after identifying 100 service in this field and the provision of e-programs, has resulted in an exchange of electronic data between the related bodies and organizations.
Therefore, in order to regulate these data exchanges and with the objective of elevating the E-Health services, the e-Health services workgroup regulation has been formulated and ratified.
Today, in presence of the Minister for Health and Medical Education, Minister for ICT, the Vice Minister for Cooperatives and Labor, and the Secretary of the High Council of IT, a coordinating session for executive and technical actions were held in Dr. Vaezi’s office, and technical issues intended for finalization of the approved e-Health services regulation, and executive and technical actions of the field of e-Health were discussed and reviewed, so that after coordinating the related tasks and duties, we can soon witness a major development in the health sector of Iran.
It should be mentioned that, one of the most important programs of the government is elevating health levels in society, something that, because of its effects on each member of the society and the existing public demand both in the individual and the social aspect, has been acknowledged as one of the main priorities of the public sector of the country.
In this regard, the e-government deputy of the IT organization, in his interview with the ICT’s Public Relation Center, expressed that increasing the efficiency of the health sector can greatly impact the satisfaction of the people, stressing that: “IT can truly transform and develop this sector through its empowerment capabilities.”
He added: “By changing traditional health service management into electronic ones, we shall witness increasing service quality and increasing efficiency.”
Mr. Bagheri-Asl concluded that: “The core objective of this workgroup is the elevation of health system services, as a part of the e-government development, in such a manner that the architecture of the Iranian health system will be based on standards and the regulations of e-Government development, moving accordingly in the very same direction.”
