According to Ministry’s Public Relation, in this meeting Dr. Vaezi described the progress and achievements of the I.R. of Iran in the field of IT and ICT, saying: “The I.R. of Iran has attained high levels of technical and engineering capabilities in the fields of communication, IT, ICT, and space technology.”
He added: “Today Iran has the ability to export these achievements to Cyprus.”
The Minister of ICT referred to the Iranian government’s supportive policies in regard to backing the private sector, participation of this sector in investing and implementing governmental and non-governmental programs and projects, including that: “Nowadays in Iran, the private sector has reached high capabilities in the fields of IT and ICT software and hardware, and is fully prepared to cooperate with the private sector in Cyprus.”
Dr. Vaezi also explained the growth and development of postal services and Post Bank in all the cities and provinces of Iran, saying: “The Post company and Post Bank present a variety of services to all Iranians, especially in rural areas.”
Mentioning some of these services, he included: “Iran is prepared to exchange experiences and cooperate with Cyprus in this field.”
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties stressed on bilateral cooperation in the fields of gas, seaports, and tourism.
