ICT Minister to Attend GSMA Mobile World Congress 2015

A delegation headed by the Minister for Communications and Information Technologies will attend the GSMA Mobile World Congress being held in Barcelona, Spain, 2-5 March 2015.

Officially invited by the Chairman of GSMA to the Mobile World Congress 2015, the ICT Minister, Dr. Vaezi, will visit the cutting-edge achievements of mobile communication technology, as well as meeting with some of the communication ministers of attending countries, holding bilateral meetings on the sidelines, the ICT’s Information and Public Relations Department reports.

The GSMA Mobile World Congress is the world’s greatest and the most prestigious event of the industry, which is held annually in Barcelona. The principal part of the event is the “Ministerial Programme”, where during a 3-day period, a series of discussions, negotiations, and information and knowledge exchange takes place revolving around the revolutionary potentials and capabilities of mobile communication.

The presence of thousands of top communication executives from around the globe provides a unique platform for the world’s most influential telecommunications leaders to unite and discuss the most pressing issues affecting the future of the mobile industry’s growth and development in their own nation, region or around the world; such as regulatory issues.

According to our PR’s report, announcing the GSMA “Government Leadership Award” is one of the top agendas of the ministerial program.

Last year, more than 85,000 attendees from over 200 countries participated in this industry-defining event, including 139 state delegations, international bodies, and government and industry representatives.

In the exhibitions section of the congress, some of the achievements of the I.R.Iran in the service sector shall be put on display, this year.
